Police appealing for witnesses after serious crash on A37 near Shepton Mallet

The police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision near Shepton Mallet.

It happened yesterday (Wednesday 19 June) shortly after 11am on the A37 Long Hill, just outside of Shepton.

A Chevrolet Matiz was travelling southbound and a Rover 111 northbound.

The Matiz is reported to have crossed the centre of the road and was in a head-on collision with the Rover.

The woman driver of the Rover and two men who were in the Matiz all suffered potentially life-changing injuries and remain in hospital.

Avon and Somerset Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help enquiries. If you can help, contact the police, quoting reference 5219137452
