At the end of September, Shepton Mallet Town Council revealed plans for a £200,000 makeover for the play area at Collett Park.

Now the next step has been taken in bringing the plans to fruition, as a planning application has been submitted to Mendip District Council asking for permission to remove the pay area, relocate some of the play area, and install a 6m climbing net.
