Willmotts Transport has submitted plans to build a new head office and food warehouse at its business park in Waterlip.

A planning application for the construction of a food grade warehouse and offices to replace an existing industrial building with associated access, yards and parking at Willmotts Business Park, Ball Lane to Piers Road, Waterlip, has been submitted by Mr A Stott.

The new warehouse would consolidate Willmotts Transport local operations, which currently are spread over five different locations, and the new head office would provide up-to-date offices for the logistics, warehouse, sales and senior management teams.

Willmotts provides bespoke warehousing and distribution services across a range of food and non-food market sectors, including ecommerce solutions to the food and logistics industry.

The proposed development is to replace existing buildings on the current Fibatech part of the site to construct a new warehouse with marshalling and loading areas, and the new head office.

One of the existing staff car parks would be relocated at the front of the warehouse building making room for yard and turning areas to the rear. A recently-permitted parking area to the south of the site would be retained.
