A summer glamping and events site can now operate from East Pennard.

A glamping and events site can be run in East Pennard over the summer.

Mendip District Council have approved the application to erect a temporary glamping site of 14 yurts and 14 lotus belle tents, temporary shepherds hut style trailer, marquee and catering tent during the summer months to be returned to agricultural use during the winter at Pennard Hill Farm, Stickleball Lane To Pennard Hill Farm, East Pennard.

The site already operates a temporary campsite and events operation, hosting events such as weddings, but this will allow the owners to scale up the operations. It's likely that the glamping options could also prove very popular for Glastonbury Festival.

The application states that during the winter months the site will return to agricultural use.
