From September 2025, Sinead MacPhee and Alisa Creaser will become deputy heads at The Mendip School.

Two senior teachers at The Mendip School in Shepton Mallet will step into deputy head roles from September 2025, with joint responsibility for leading the curriculum for pupils with complex needs.

Sinead MacPhee and Alisa Creaser, who currently serve as assistant headteachers, will take on the expanded leadership duties together.

MacPhee, who joined in 2019, will focus on holistic development, continuing her work on therapeutic provision and life skills. Creaser, who began in 2017 as a maths lead and SENDCO, will head up the formal curriculum, supporting academic progress and further education pathways.

The school said their combined strengths will help ensure that "no aspect of the curriculum or need is forgotten." Assistant heads Kate Scott and Carly Pollock will remain in post to support the structure.
