If you are an enthusiastic and professional Project Officer, Shepton Mallet Town Council is looking to cover a period of maternity leave.

The successful candidate will develop and deliver a range of interesting projects, which have been identified following consultation, community engagement and councillors agreeing on the strategic direction for the council.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has project management experience and has worked in a similar environment, to take on a variety of projects and to work with councillors to deliver community benefits.

Above all, the council is looking for someone with the right attitude who will have the personal attributes of being ambitious, a team player, flexible and proactive, with an eye for detail.

Working 30 hours on a flexible basis you will be part of a small, friendly and dedicated team based at the council's offices in the heart of Shepton Mallet.

You will find the information you need within the recruitment pack and application forms on the council website here.

If you would like to have an informal chat about the role or have any further questions, then you can contact Project Officer, Tara Jessop: [email protected].
