There's only one more exciting thing than putting up your own Christmas lights - and that is seeing other people's handiwork.

Many of us will have crowded out in our own towns and villages in the run-up to Christmas as our local festive displays were turned on for another year.

But while the official council decorations hanging in our shopping centres are the ones we see most days, we're looking for the people who have gone the extra mile in decorating the outside of their homes this year.

We want to create a map with all the major displays which are on show this Christmas, allowing you to plan your walks or take little ones out to see them in all their glory once the schools break-up.
