A transport company in Chilcompton has submitted plans to Mendip District Council to turn a field into a car park to help support its continued growth.
The planning application is for the change of use of land to provide additional car parking, including operational development, at Massey Wilcox Transport Ltd, Broadway, Chilcompton.
The family-owned company, which was founded in 1954, has been growing in recent years and now requires extra car parking space for more members of staff, and to keep HGVs separate from other vehicles for safety reasons.
