Full details have been announced ahead of Shepton Mallet's 2025 Remembrance Sunday service this weekend.
Shepton Mallet Town Council, in conjunction with Shepton Mallet Royal British Legion, will be holding a service of remembrance at the cenotaph on Sunday 9 November.
The multi-faith service will be led by the Honorary Branch Chaplain Jonathan Hunter-Dunn.
The event begins with assembly at the Cenotaph, High Street at 10:35am.
The "fall in" will commence at 10:45am, with the formal service starting shortly afterwards.
At 11am, a two‑minute silence will be observed, followed by wreath laying by local organisations.
Afterwards, a parade will march to St Peter & St Paul Church.
Members of the HM Armed Forces, Police, Fire, Ambulance services are encouraged to wear service uniform. Veterans are invited to wear military head dress and medals if available.
The Club in the High Street will open at 10.00 to drop off food donations.
