Free outdoor cinema coming to Collett Park this May – and you can help pick the films

Shepton Mallet Town Council is inviting residents to grab a blanket and head to Collett Park this spring for a free outdoor cinema experience – and the public gets to choose which films will be shown.
The event takes place on Saturday 11 May, with two films lined up: a family-friendly screening at 2pm, followed by an evening showing at 5.30pm.
Film fans are being asked to cast their vote now for which movies they'd most like to see on the big screen in the park.
The choices are:
Daytime (2pm)
- Paddington
- Wonka
- Ice Age
Evening (5.30pm)
- Wicked
- Mamma Mia
- Top Gun: Maverick
The event is completely free and open to all, making it an ideal afternoon and evening out for families, friends, and film lovers of all ages.
Voting is open now via the Hello Shepton website:
Bring your picnic, pick your film, and enjoy a day of cinema in the park.
