A summer music festival at Shepton Mallet Football Club will take place on Glastonbury Festival weekend, during a fallow year for the world-famous event.

Mallet Fest is scheduled for Saturday, 27 June 2026, with organisers confirming new acts for the day-long celebration.

The festival will be headlined by Absolute Oasis and Paper Planes, with a full supporting line-up and DJs playing throughout the day. Additional acts named on the event poster include Luke Potter, Eddie Dean, Transmission, Troy Ellis and special guests.

Organisers say the event will run from 1.30pm, with accompanied under-16s admitted free. However, there is conflicting information about ticket prices and running times. Promotional material for the festival lists tickets at £25 with music continuing until 1.30am, while a separate announcement advertises £20 day tickets covering entry from 1.30pm to 9pm. The organisers have not yet clarified which pricing and timings apply.

The decision to stage the event on Glastonbury Festival weekend comes during a year when the nearby festival site is resting, creating an opportunity for alternative live music events across the area.

Tickets for Mallet Fest are now on sale and can be booked via Get Mallet Fest tickets here. Organisers say further announcements are expected in the run-up to the event.
