Somerset is currently grappling with the effects of Storm Henk, a named storm that has brought a deluge of rain and strong winds to the county.

The Met Office has issued a severe wind warning, effective until 8pm, and a separate rain warning that will last until 9pm. Coastal areas of the county are bracing themselves for winds of up to 80mph.

The River Brue is expected to rise sharply due to the ongoing heavy rainfall. This could lead to overtopping from the Glastonbury Millstream and the River Brue at North Drain and Westhay. The B3151 road from Glastonbury to Meare is among the areas most at risk.
