Facebook might not be the first place you think of looking when you're job hunting – but more and more companies are bypassing traditional recruitment agencies and instead they are looking to social media to find their latest hires.

Here are five jobs in Shepton Mallet that were posted on Facebook this week.

The Well Inn is looking for evening bar staff for week days and weekends.

If you've got a car and you're looking for a bit of extra cash then local artist Shelley Dyer Gibbins is looking for someone to do leaflet drops in local villages.

There's a fun opportunity advertised over on the Shepton Mallet Community Group for a couple of school leavers who like horses. The job entails helping out on a pony yard, cleaning tack, grooming and mucking out, as well as talking to visitors and taking part in pony grooming sessions with children.

It's always great to see a local business doing well, and JAB Property Services are doing so well that they're looking for two new recruits for their property maintenance company that offers a range of services from a from decorating to garden landscaping, fencing, patio and decking installation.

Would you like to take your first steps into a career working with children? SS&L are advertising a L3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at Upton Noble school.
