The meeting of Evercreech Parish Council tonight (October 6) is going to be held virtually via Zoom as so many members of the public want to attend.

Evercreech Village Hall has a maximum number of attendees due to coronavirus restrictions and guidelines, so tonight's full council meeting will be held as a video call.

There are a number of items on the agenda, but the former Greencore site is at the heart of the meeting.

The council will be discussing the planning application to build 129 homes on the site, and concerns have already been expressed about this by villagers at a virtual public meeting.

A police report will also be presented at the meeting about trespassers on the site, plus the number of calls to Evercreech generally.

Other planning matters to be discussed at the meeting include the proposed change of use at 16 Neales Way from residential to hair salon, plans for the building of a home on the site of a workshop off Weymouth Road, and the proposed building of four poultry houses at Lower Easton Farm in Pylle.
