East Somerset Railway in Cranmore to re-open

The East Somerset Railway in Cranmore is looking forward to welcoming visitors as it re-opens for the Summer season.

New attractions, funded by the National Lottery, include the Down Platform and a newly refurbished Museum and Waiting Room.

On Wednesday April 14 train rides will be available at 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm. Visitors are encouraged to book online as numbers are limited due to social distancing rules.

The railway will be open from weekends only from April 17, additionally on Wednesdays from June and also Thursdays during the school summer holidays.

A Gala will be held on April 24 and 25, standard prices apply. Later in the summer two events have been confirmed, Peppa Pig on August 7 and The Way We Were, a three day vintage and wartime extravaganza takes place August 28, 29 and 30.
