Shepton Mallet is eagerly preparing for its annual Collett Park Day, set for 8 June 2024.

This community festival will be held in Collett Park, a generous gift from John Kyte Collett in 1906. Attendees can look forward to a vibrant lineup of live music on the bandstand, community performances, and over 50 stalls featuring handmade goods and local specialties.

Food enthusiasts will delight in a variety of offerings from food trucks, and a well-stocked bar will provide refreshments. The day will also include family-friendly activities such as arts and crafts, face painting, and a popular fire engine display, all celebrating the strong community spirit and cultural heritage of Shepton Mallet.

Here's everything we know so far:

What can families and children enjoy at Collett Park Day? Collett Park Day is perfect for families, with plenty of activities for kids. Highlights include free bouncy castles provided by Jolly Jumpers, ensuring a fun and energetic day out for the little ones.

From wood-fired pizzas and Thai food to traditional fish and chips and fresh doughnuts, there's something to satisfy every palate. Not to forget the local favourites like hog roast and bubble tea!
