Residents in Shepton Mallet celebrated the coronation of King Charles III by organising street parties and getting together for parties in the town.
Communities throughout the town came together to mark the historic event, with many donning fancy dress and raising a toast to the new king.
On Saturday night, people headed down to the Midsomerset Showground on Cannards Grave Road for a party in a field - the perfect antidote to the solemn ceremony many had watched on their TVs earlier in the day.
They spent the night enjoying live music, a hog roast and a breathtaking fireworks display.
The following day, Sunday, May 7th, Shepton Mallet hosted a picnic in the park coronation concert. The event took place at Collett Park, with a bar and ice cream truck laid on for the day. The coronation concert will be shown on a large screen, offering the perfect opportunity to celebrate the new king's ascension with fellow residents.
"I've lived in Shepton Mallet for years and it's great to see everyone come together to celebrate such an important moment in our country's history," said Nick Robins.
"Sharing a picnic with friends and neighbours was a real highlight for me and it just goes to show how strong our community spirit is."
The Charlton Inn was also down to party, with live music and a garden taking place throughout the day, with live performances from local musicians.
Many residents expressed their excitement and pride in witnessing the coronation of a new monarch, with some describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime event.
"It was wonderful to come together as a community and celebrate this historic moment," said Caroline Locke, who attended both events. "It really made me feel a sense of unity and pride in our town."
