Carnival season has kicked in style in Bridgwater. After dire warnings of torrential rain and high winds turned out to be a damp squib the clubs put on a spectacular show, with Coleford's Huckyduck winning the open Tableau class with their creation Those Magnificent Men. Shepton Mallet's Shambles continue their return to the top with their Chitty Chitty Bang Bang themed Toot Sweets putting in a good showing. The carts come out again on Monday at Burnham on Sea and arrive in Shepton Mallet on November 13.
