Car Fire at Ditcheat, Shepton Mallett

Date: 25.09.2018Time: 01:03Location: Ditcheat, Shepton MallettDevon and Somerset Fire Control received numerous calls from members of the public, reporting a vehicle on fire at the above location.
One fire appliance from Castle Cary was immediately mobilised by Fire Control.On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that one vehicle was well alight, and got to work using two breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The vehicle sustained 50% fire damage and 100% smoke damage.
