Car Fire at Crown Trading Estate, Shepton Mallet

Date: 16.09.2018Time: 19:16Location: Crown Trading Estate, Shepton MalletDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from a member of the public reporting a car on fire at the above location.
One fire appliance from Shepton Mallet was immediately mobilised by fire control.On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that one car was well alight and had spread to a neighbouring fence. Crews got to work, to extinguish the fire using two hose reel jets and small tools.
The officer in charge also requested attendance of police, as residents felt that fire may have been started deliberately.
