The organisers of the campervan show at the Bath and West Showground has announced they will be proceeding with the event next month with Covid secure measures in place.

This year the event will be called the South West Motorhome and Campervan Sale 2020, and it will take place at the showground near Shepton Mallet from September 11 to 13.

Visitors can attend for the day for free or wild camp on-site for £40 for three nights with unlimited access into the exhibition area.

All outdoors, the show is a chance to compare new and used models from a large variety of national and local dealers all in one place.

If you already have your vehicle, you will be able to browse the outdoor accessory market and get stocked up with outdoor leisure accessories.

Tickets and parking are free but visitors have to register to attend – which is essential to entry as part of the government track and trace initiative.

A spokesperson for the organisers, Warner's, said: "The safety of our visitors and exhibitors is Warner's number one priority.

"We can confirm we have complied with the government's guidance on managing the risk of Covid-19.

"Rest assured Warner's are working with the venue and following government guidelines to ensure safety on site."

Alongside the pre-registration, other safety measures include crowd density control, extra spacing between stands, an enhanced cleaning regime and hand sanitiser stations.

As restrictions have lifted a little Warner's are able to open the on-site clubhouse, which will have an outdoor seating area with a bar and restaurant. The clubhouse will have a selection of light entertainment on their decking during the event.

The show will be open from 9.30am to 5pm on the Friday and Saturday, and 9.30am to 4.30pm on the Sunday.
