Bring your own bats and balls: Table Tennis and Foosball tables at Collett Park

By Laura Linham 15th Dec 2022

A new table tennis and foosball table have been installed in Collett Park for the community to enjoy. The concrete tables have been placed near the shelter, offering everyone a free-to-use activity year-round.

The tables are designed to promote healthy and social activity, and add to the range of existing sports and recreation equipment the park offers. Some of the benefits of playing table tennis include improving reflexes and hand-eye coordination, core strength but easy on the joints.

All ages and abilities can enjoy both tables and it's a great way to stay warm outside during this cold winter! We look forward to seeing residents, young and old, keeping active and having fun.

Anyone wanting to use the tables will need to bring their own bats and balls which can be purchased from retail outlets in Shepton Mallet.
