If you find yourself each year trying to recapture that feeling of Christmas wonder you experienced when young, but never quite succeeding, then a ride on a Santa Special could be just the ticket.

You would certainly be hard-pressed to find a more nostalgic and festive day out – and your children might quite enjoy it too!

The Santa Specials take place at East Somerset Railway at Cranmore and offer a 30 minute ride on the Santa Special steam train first, before crossing the line to the North Pole Station where you can visit Santa and receive a gift.

There will be a Goody Bag for every child to take onto the train containing colouring sheets, crayons and a family Santa quiz sheet.

Threre will also be a balloon modeller on the platform.

Refreshments will be served at the North Pole - including mulled wine and mince pies.
