Local personal trainer Allan Barnard has opened a fitness studio based at the Bath and West Showground, near Shepton Mallet, and has kicked off his fitness bootcamps this week.

These sessions are a fun, challenging and sociable way of achieving your fitness, health and weight goals, and take place at 6.30am for 45 minutes, Monday, Wednesday and Friday; with a free taster session for any new members.

Each session is different and combines circuit style workouts with high intensity interval training (HIIT) as well as the use of equipment such as kettlebells, TRX and weights for toning and strengthening. It's designed for all fitness abilities.

At the end of January, Bootcamp Babies is also ready to launch, starting on Wednesday January 29 at 9.30am.

This 45-minute post-natal fitness class encourages new mums and dads to exercise with their baby or toddler, without having to sort out childcare.

As well as offering bootcamps, Allan looks after personal training clients around the region, and he now has his own space to offer additional sessions throughout the day.

Personal Training sessions are designed to suit individual needs and they take place wherever is the most convenient for you.
