Barn Fire at Snagg Lane, Alhampton, Shepton Mallet

Date: 31.08.2019Time: 01:47Location: Snagg Lane, Alhampton, Shepton MalletOne fire appliance from Castle Cary, two from Shepton Mallet and the Water Carrier and Incident Support Unit from Yeovil were sent to a report of a barn fire at the above location.On arrival crews confirmed that the barn was well alight and contained a transit van and approximately 10 tonnes of hay. The fire was extinguished using 4 breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and 2 jets.
