The A37 through Shepton Mallet was closed for almost two hours last night (June 1) following a car crash.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to reports of a crash on the A37 Whitstone Road at about 8.15pm yesterday.

A Volkswagen Polo had crashed on to its roof, but no one was trapped inside. The road was closed while the debris was cleared.

One person is reported to have suffered a minor injury and the road was fully reopened at about 10pm.
