After making a notable impact in Frome's real estate scene, Mel Lewis is now setting her sights on Shepton Mallet, bringing a fresh perspective to its property market. With a unique blend of experience and a deep connection to her work, Mel Lewis is more than just a real estate agent – she's a catalyst for change in the way properties are perceived and sold.

Her storied entry into the real estate domain is not just a career shift but a distinctive narrative of passion meeting profession.

"I've always been drawn to the potential each property holds," Mel shares, reflecting on her vast experience which spans the refurbishment of properties from London to the French countryside.

Mel's journey into real estate began amidst the romantic challenges of refurbishing a 400-year-old farmhouse in France.

"Initially it was for renovation," Mel says.

"Some of the properties I marketed had stood empty for decades. Some were an absolute treasure trove of antique French furniture which had just been left in the houses."

It is this very experience that she brings to the streets of Shepton Mallet, equipped with an eye for hidden gems and a knack for unlocking their stories.

Her stint in France, with its intricate property laws and unique market demands, gifted Mel with a remarkable skill set. This international experience now benefits local sellers, as she navigates the nuances of Shepton's property market.

"Navigating France's complex property landscape has imbued me with a sensitivity to the intricacies involved in each sale and purchase," she explains.

Upon her return to British shores, her foray into the new build sector only deepened her expertise, yet she yearned to deliver a service that resonated with her values, which led her to the entrepreneurial world of eXp.

"It's the relationships with the people, the stories behind each move, that truly inspire me," she says with a conviction that resonates with her clientele.

From a glamorous past intertwined with the film and celebrity sectors, Mel has mastered the art of creating a spectacle, an attribute she now applies to showcase properties in the best possible light.

"My background has taught me the power of narrative and presentation, which I utilise in selling homes, not just houses," she says. The town's ascent fuels her attraction to Shepton's property scene as a desirable destination.

"There's a palpable buzz around Shepton's property market; it's on the cusp of something great," she says.

Mel's dedication to her clients transcends the conventional estate agent role.

"I don't just facilitate transactions; I foster transitions," she says, underlining her holistic approach to guiding clients through one of life's most significant journeys.

Shepton Mallet's property allure is not lost on Mel, who sees the town as a burgeoning haven for those priced out of Frome.

"Shepton is becoming very popular," she says. "I can see Shepton really taking off in the future and I'm looking forward to properly launching my business there."

"The housing market should settle down next year," she predicts. "Shepton will continue to benefit from high prices in Frome as people find it more affordable."

As Shepton Mallet marches towards a future bright with potential, Mel Lewis's role is pivotal—her vision, expertise, and genuine passion are shaping not just sales but the very essence of our community.
