Shepton Mallet roadworks for week commencing August 3

Temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be used on the B3136 Waterloo Road in Shepton Mallet this week.

The lights are due to be used outside numbers 19 to 23 from Friday (August 7) to August 11.

They are set to be in place to enable Wessex Water to carry out a sewer investigation and jetting work.

Other roadworks planned in Shepton Mallet this week include:

The closure of the High Street for Wessex Water to repair a sewer is scheduled to be lifted by Friday.

Five weeks of multi-way temporary traffic lights are due to start on Monday (August 3) at the junction of Whitstone Rise and Whitstone Road, so Wales and West Utilities can upgrade a metal gas main to plastic pipes and transfer the service.

The scaffolding permit at The Cottage, in Ham Lane, is set to continue until August 26.

On Monday and Tuesday (August 4) Somerset Highways are scheduled to be repairing a streetlight in Mendip Avenue.

From Wednesday (August 5) to Friday, BT are due to be installing a telecoms cable and duct in Prospect Close.

From Thursday (August 6) to August 11, Western Power Distribution are set to be installing a new supply in Hillmead.

Finally, on Thursday and Friday, Bristol Water have works scheduled in Beech Avenue.
