Temporary traffic lights are planned to be used on the A361 through Shepton Mallet next week.

The lights are scheduled to be in place on Friday (October 23) and Saturday (October 24) near to the leisure centre on Charlton Road, so BT can replace a telegraph pole.

Meanwhile, the closure of the A371 Prestleigh Hill continues - you can read all about that here.

Other roadworks in Shepton Mallet that are scheduled to take place next week include:

On Monday (October 19) and Tuesday (October 20) Frithfield Lane and Gaol Lane are both set to be closed to enable resurfacing to take place.

From Tuesday to Thursday (October 22) temporary traffic lights are due to be in place on the A37 at Cannard's Grave between the junction with Church Lane and the Whitstone Corner Roundabout so BT can replace a jointbox frame and cover.

On Monday, multi-way temporary traffic lights are scheduled to be used at the Townsend Roundabout outside of Tesco for Bristol Water works.

From Monday to Thursday, BT is planning to be replacing a telegraph pole in Whitstone Rise.

Finally, the month-long scaffolding permit at The Cottage in Ham Lane is set to expire on Friday.
