HGV Class 2 Driver needed in Shepton Mallet

Pure staff are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 driver to work alongside one of our clients in the Shepton Mallet location.

Pure Staff are currently looking for enthusiastic & experienced HGV Class 2 driver to join the team of flexible employees to work with this specific client.

Our client is a large well-known company.

They currently require ongoing HGV Class 2 driver to work with their current team.

The job itself can be up to 10 to 15 drops or 4 drops and a collection normally per shift of Palletised loads. The drops will be a cluster in one location so you wont be travelling all over the UK for these drops.

Our clients are looking for a candidate that can not only drive a Class 2 lorry successfully but can communicate well to ensure that all deliveries / collections / trailer swaps are completed.

This can be a customer facing role so the perfect candidate will be of smart appearance with a polite nature, you will need to show willingness to give that little extra to ensure our clients stores personnel have the best experience with the driver as possible. There will be use of a tail lift that will involve using a pump truck to get the loads on to the tail lift.

Start times can vary but normally between:

• Days 05:00am and 08:00am

shifts can be long hours but in keeping with tachograph law up to 10 to 12 hours per shift normally.

The ideal HGV Class 2 Driver will have -

• A valid HGV Class 2 Driving License.
• Minimum of 6 months experience.
• Valid CPC Card.
• Valid Digital Card.
• Clean Driving License with no more than 6 points (No TT TS MS DR DD) codes.

Pay rate: 16.50 Monday to Friday PAYE

Additionally, to the pay you will accrue Holiday pay payable with 7 days notice of booked holiday. You will also be enrolled after 3 months into a pension.
